Marina is an undergraduate MBiol Biological Sciences student at Durham University and an Insectary Technician in the Insect Neuro Lab. She has a broad interest in biology, with a particular interest in neuroscience and understanding the biological basis of behaviour. She was drawn to the Insect Neuro Lab by her interest in neuroscience and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of working in a research environment. Marina hopes to pursue a career in biological research after graduating, although she is still exploring which area of research she would ultimately like to specialise in. She looks forward to developing her practical skills and discovering which areas of research interest her most during her time in the lab.
